Three pieces, one presence. Born on the third, moved by cycles, made of many parts.
  • I’m Amanda Luneburger Geier — a Brazilian Kiwi, mother, maker, and designer with roots in both Aotearoa and southern Brazil. I’m based in Canterbury, New Zealand, where I’ve lived for over a decade — but my love of design started long before that, in small, sunlit spaces, surrounded by paper, crayons, wood, and glue.

I studied Product Design in Blumenau, where I learned that design is both a mindset and a craft. It taught me that what we make with our hands carries meaning — whether it’s wood, yarn, or pixels. That belief still guides my work today: that good design is felt before it’s understood.

  • I often tell this story: when I had to choose my major, I felt torn — between psychology and software development, between helping people and building systems. And then I heard it — that small voice, the one from my childhood afternoons creating things with my hands.

    “What about me?”

That moment changed everything. I became a designer — someone who could hold both psychology and technology, art and logic, empathy and systems. Someone who could help people not just through ideas, but through experiences they can feel.

  • I’ve worked in many spaces — from fast-paced agencies in Brazil and New Zealand to tech consultancies and corporate teams. I started out as a junior developer and grew into a designer who thrives under pressure, adapts fast, and delivers even faster.

But the biggest shift came with motherhood and the pandemic — both arriving in the same breath. I took a two-year pause from the industry, unsure where to place my creativity outside the chaos. That’s when I found crochet — or rather, crochet found me. I fell in love with amigurumi, with making little gifts for my son, and with remembering what it feels like to create with joy.

I’ve been with Theta for three years now — my longest stretch in one place. It’s taught me how to work without applause, to self-motivate, and to thrive in quiet, complex spaces. But I’ve also felt the edges of this season. I’ve learned what I came here to learn.

And now, I’m ready for what’s next.

  • I bring systems thinking, heart-led design, and a deep belief that small things — handled with care — can change everything. I work with clarity, empathy, and hands that know how to build things that last.

I’m opening my arms to new opportunities — new people to build with, new problems to solve, and new stories to shape through design.

“I am the space between — where clarity finds its voice.”

A quiet archive of the path that brought me here.
